How does it work?
TrackRs use Bluetooth technology to connect with the TrackR app on your phone. To ensure your TrackR is always findable, make sure:- Bluetooth is enabled at all times
- TrackR app is open and running in the background of your phone
- Location Services are enabled

What is Bluetooth?
Bluetooth is a standard for the short-range wireless interconnection of mobile phones, computers, and other electronic devices. All TrackRs rely on Bluetooth to communicate with the TrackR app.

What is the range?
The maximum Bluetooth range for TrackRs is up to 100 ft. or 30 meters (with a clear line of sight). When obstacles – such as walls or furniture – are present, the range is diminished.

Does TrackR use GPS?
TrackRs are Bluetooth trackers and do not use GPS technology. Your tracked items communicate with the TrackR app on your phone using via a Bluetooth connection.

Is the TrackR battery replaceable?
Yes! And the batteries are free and easy to order.
The app will alert you when your battery is running low and prompt you to order a new battery – from inside the app.
You never have to worry about the battery. We’ve got you covered.

What is Crowd Locate?
Your TrackR app records your item’s location every time it moves out of range from your phone.
But it’s not just your phone that can update its location. If another TrackR app user passes near your item, you’ll receive an alert. This is what we call Crowd Locate.
Crowd Locate is totally private, but always at work whenever the app is running.
